Using
Keywords/Descriptors
Successful searches will most likely occur through the use of keywords [descriptors], which are for the most part listed in German in the keyword field (descriptor field in RefWorks) . Most of these keywords/descriptors were added by the bibliographers, although others were taken over as a result of other searches. Thus English terms are occasionally found, as well as items in other formats. Eventually dual sets of keywords in both languages will be included with each entry. For now, English-speaking researchers should consult the list below to locate the German term. More keywords occur in the RefWorks Search Menu (-> Lookup by Descriptor) than are included on the list below, which contains the ones most frequently encountered. For more details, see the Instructions page, especially the "Advanced Search " section, since the software does not understand terms that are not entered consistent with its peculiarities.
