Viewpoints: Movement Technique for the Stage

Viewpoints is a body of work developed by a woman in the States named Anne Bogart. She then founded a theatre company in New York City called SITI company that uses Viewpoints as an improvisational movement technique that has been created to develop theatre pieces. It involves moving bodies in space - relating to each other, relating to the space in between themselves, and relating to the architecture of the space that surrounds them. I will be using my students to demonstrate how this work evolves and informs the creative process in the development of a theatre presentation.
